Saturday morning I was walking home enjoying the sunrise in my neighbourhood. On the way I heard a group of men talking softly outside the new shelter at 599 Gower Point Road as well as another group a block away gathered in their driveway. I could see no difference between these neighbours and certainly felt threatened by neither. I respect all my neighbours and would like them all to consider that only a single disaster may separate those with homes from being themselves homeless.
