Can anyone explain the logic behind comparing shiny new expensive highways and bridges to the existing mess of a ferry system, including its supposed “subsidy”? The design of the fixed link study makes no sense.
How do the bean counters in Victoria calculate the “subsidy” in building and operating concrete highways to Kitimat or Pouce Coupe?
The Ministry of Transportation should have as its mandate connecting communities within the province to move people and goods by safe and efficient means over land, rivers, straits and sounds.
