As a taxpayer of the District of Sechelt I am wondering why council is wasting our money on a new logo. Have they had numerous complaints by their community demanding a new logo? I was reading through minutes of their meeting of Feb. 5 and a 20-page presentation was given to council regarding this very serious matter.
Does any taxpayer care about this?
Their staff is wasting tax dollars doing research and further tax dollars will be wasted if they move forward with this ludicrous idea – for what? This community has far better ways for them to spend our money than changing all their letterhead, pens, business cards, T-shirts and vehicles.
Trust me: I run a business, I know what that all costs – and it’s more than the presentation stated it would be. Do we as the public get a chance to vote on this senseless spending?
