Area MP Pam Goldsmith-Jones is no friend of the commercial fishermen or pleasure boaters or weekend recreational enthusiasts, as her party gave the OK to Tuesday’s closure to the Canadian Coast Guard Comox Communications Station. With this closure, if you are in trouble out on the water, your distress call will be harder to make out and could be subject to “communications blackouts.” And you can thank your Liberal MP Goldsmith-Jones for putting your life into jeopardy on the water.
