BC Ferries:
I write today to put in my request for a permanent return of one-hour sailings to the Sunshine Coast, from Horseshoe Bay.
Rather than building a fixed link to the Coast, I am of the opinion that a one-hour ferry schedule to the Coast is the best choice for all of us: local ferry users, tourists, business owners and BC Ferries employees.
A comment overheard from a regular Coast commuter is, “This one-hour sailing schedule is life-changing.” A young mother of two made the “life-changing” comment just recently on the temporary 7:20 a.m. ferry from Langdale to Horseshoe Bay and I couldn’t agree with my fellow commuter more. It is so wonderful having the one-hour scheduled ferry leaving on time, versus the regularly two-hour scheduled Langdale ferry which quite often runs quite late. The combination of having hourly service plus having the ferry leave on time is significantly less stressful and is a far more pleasant travelling experience.
Thank you all in advance for your consideration of my request and for all other similar requests which will have been sent your way, signed a commuter from Gibsons to West Vancouver.
