Library vote disappoints

I was disappointed to read the recent article in Coast Reporter regarding Sechelt council’s vote against the Sechelt Library and their request for $45,425 for computers, laptops and iPads (“Tie vote scuttles Library funding request,” March 2). Anytime I visit the library the computers are in full use by seniors, students and those who do not have any other access to these resources. There’s usually a lineup to use the equipment.

Thanks to those councillors who voted for the funding – Muller, Shanks and Siegers.
