We need to rethink

Wise Elders remember the past and are then able to advise the new generation about what worked and what didn’t work. Remember the Dust Bowl of the ‘30s? The farmers kept plowing the way they always plowed even though the environment they were working in was different from where they came from. Many starved to death and many were forced to migrate to the coast.

Scientists have given us foresight as to what will happen if we don’t change our ways. Sure, we are comfortable with our lifestyle, which includes cars, but we have been warned – if we don’t rethink how we do things, we will not be comfortable for much longer anyway.

Humans have large malleable brains. Let us use them to make a better future for ourselves.
