Sign damage dismaying

Editor:

Vandalization, destruction and theft of local election signs are dismaying to say the least. Canada is supposed to be a democracy whose citizens are free to publicly campaign for their candidate of choice. The PPC’s signs, at least here on the Coast, appear to have been hardest hit by the goons who saw fit to destroy them.

I am quite sure that most of us, regardless of our individual political persuasion, are disgusted by such actions. At least, I would sincerely hope as much.
