No relief on gas prices

Letters

Editor:

How ironic when I opened today’s paper (Oct. 11) to read another letter by Sunshine Coast Labour Council president Ed Erickson to Premier John Horgan, complaining about the gas gouging tactics employed by gas stations on the Sunshine Coast (“Gas gouge continues”). It was almost laughable to read that the letter stated that “today’s” price sat at 141.9 cents when earlier “today” – a week or so after the letter was penned – the price had jumped to 148.9! Good luck with your complaints, Mr. Erickson. My complaints sent to both provincial and federal representatives – even earlier than your efforts – have been met with silence. Don’t expect anything different.
