The proposed new logo for Sechelt presented in your Sept. 27 paper is butt ugly. It looks like it was found floating in our sewage treatment plant. The existing logo is far superior graphically. We already have an ugly entry to Sechelt by the highway from Gibsons, made even worse with the removal of all the trees; let’s not have a logo to match. If we are going to the expense of developing a new logo, let’s adopt one that at least makes it look like Sechelt is moving forward.
As Sechelt shares this area of land with the Sechelt Indian Band, why not ask one of their graphic artists to propose a logo that shows a spirit of cooperation with both land holders looking forward to the future development of Sechelt?
