Letters: With the loss of my doctor, I'm feeling expendable

I’m a 67-year-old disabled senior with limited mobility and access to transportation. I have always had a family doctor but as of Aug 1, I will no longer have a personal doctor. This in itself is very stressful but given my age and health issues, even more stressful.

Our health care system has been the envy of many for years but has failed to keep up with demand and other extenuating issues has become a failure to the citizens of B.C.

It appears to me, don’t get sick because you are expendable. Just old and bitter, I guess, but all I hear are excuses and words; no action and no real solution(s). I need the assurance that I have a dedicated practitioner, not a call-in number to get in line for possible care.
