Why are groceries overpriced in Gibsons?
While shopping the other day in two of Gibsons’s main grocery stores I noticed a product was $7.99. I am from lower Vancouver Island and the same product (soup) ranges from $5.50 to 6.60 with the latter being the norm.
Why are the prices in Gibsons over 20 per cent higher? Is that the same for all products?? The optics look awful for coastal shoppers. Where is the inflationary gouging coming from? It costs more to ship to the island than the Sunshine Coast.
