I want to thank all the wonderful people who helped me on Oct. 11 when I broke my ankle in Winegarden Park in Gibsons. The two women who helped me on the hill were angels. I think one of you was Tracey and I can’t remember the other’s name. You saved me from sliding further down the hill and got the ambulance crew to me so quickly. I’d love for you to get in touch with me so I can thank you properly. The fire department members and ambulance crew who helped me off the hill were wonderful and the doctors and nurses at Sechelt hospital were so kind, professional and helpful. The x-ray technician was absolutely amazing, managing to get the x-rays done without any further pain. I’ve had surgery in Vancouver and my ankle is healing nicely. We’re new to the Coast and my experience with this has made me very appreciative of the fine hospital and dedicated staff, the paramedics and caring people we have here on the Coast.
