I am extremely upset with the NDP proposed changes to the Land Act plans. Sane minded people in the political arena must understand the potential disastrous consequences of allowing a small minority to dictate what the majority of tax paying B.C. residents must comply with regarding Land Rights.
The op-ed titled “Democracy undermined by NDP’s Land Act Plans” in the Coast Reporter, Feb. 2, submitted by Caroline Elliott, provides an excellent summary of what is at stake. It must be stopped.
The repercussions are so extreme that if political actions are not sufficient to alter this course of events a public protest of the most aggressive stance should be considered. I suggest political parties (other than the NDP) are the vehicle that should organize the opposition required if representation by party within political agendas does not remove this proposed action from NDP undertaking.
