Letters: Stay out of the bite

Editor:

“Stay out of the bite!” was an expression schoolchildren learned from the late Charlie and Gerri Parsons of Powell River. They were elderly saw millers who visited Sechelt Elementary in around 1998.  They taught kids about sawmilling in a hands-on way.  Under the guidance of the Parsons, children milled logs into planks and built an 8x12 greenhouse.

The expression “Stay out of the bite!” was often on the lips of the Parsons who taught kids to be aware as equipment could be dangerous.  The kids learned that every tool has a bite, a dangerous spot to keep in mind.

It is good to recall this teaching today. We are in a very particular bite as a society.  In order to maximize vaccine uptake the authorities are censoring out anyone and anything that might increase vaccine hesitancy. Why does this put us all in danger?  Vital information from highly qualified scientists and health care professionals on the dangers of EUA (emergency-use-authorized) injections is being censored.  Successful preventative medicines and treatments are being ignored in the rush to jab everyone.  Authorities must avoid tampering needlessly with children’s strong natural immune systems that shield them from COVID harms.

Health authorities, politicians and media need to stay out of the bite.  Stop censoring qualified Canadian doctors who provide information to help us all avoid getting caught! Constantly re-evaluate whether the risks of COVID Emergency Use Authorized (EUA) pharma products outweigh the benefits in an age-group specific way.  Everyone should read widely from all sides of this.

Each person needs to exercise their judgement and no one should be coerced into any medical procedure, as this is contrary to basic medical ethics and violates the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
