Despite opportunities for engagement on this year’s budget being widely promoted, the board of the Sunshine Coast Regional District has received few questions from our community.
In November, we held a public pre-budget meeting followed by two community information sessions and another two days of public budget meetings in December. Attendance ranged from zero to four people at these meetings.
Decisions are being made throughout this budget process that will affect our community and we want to hear from you.
Four community information sessions will be taking place before the final round of budget meetings in late January. These sessions will be promoted on social media, at www.scrd.ca and here, in the pages of the Coast Reporter.
I encourage everyone to take part and to have their say on Budget 2022.
