Letters: Rights and responsibilities

I was horrified to hear of the recent behaviour of some B.C. residents who feel they have the right to delay medical assistance to others, harass and threaten those trying to help those in medical need, blocking traffic and people just trying to get to medical appointments or the emergency room.

What is wrong with you?

Yes. You have a right to your opinion on the subject of COVID-19 and public health measures.

Yes. You have the right not to be vaccinated.

My parents taught me that with rights come responsibilities. The responsibility to respect others and their rights. I hope you are all proud of yourselves. You disgust me.

Me? I thank the medical workers who are worn out and exhausted from this pandemic for all their hard work. I thank the fact that I live in a country where we have rights.
