I strongly agree with Janet Young’s [Coast Reporter March 18] comments re. the need for a walking/cycling path along Reed Road between Park Road and North Road, and also encourage the Town of Gibsons and the SCRD to use the current opportunity of watermain installation to build this much-needed path for pedestrians and cyclists.
I also ask that consideration be given to extend that path further along Reed Road, from North Road down to Stewart Road, which is also part of the current watermain installation project. That particular stretch of road is narrow, hilly, and often darker and damper than the rest of the road, but is the main walking and riding route for children and youth heading back and forth to town from the Granthams Landing area.
