Did you know that B.C. Hydro is now buying 20 per cent of our power from outside sources. For those of you who are questioning wood stoves when you have your electric car and your electric heat pump and your electric bike and your electric cell phone and then we have blackouts of electricity, you will be the first to line up at your neighbour’s door who is off grid with their wood stove keeping them warm. Maybe we need to re-think the switch to electricity so quickly without thinking of the consequences. Maybe we could reduce our reliance on electric power by reducing use of appliances and other uses of electricity. Please, reduce, reduce, reduce.
