Re: Sue Big Oil. The SCRD struggles to meet the needs of the local population and its own narrow mandate. Water shortages, potholes, a dangerous highway, lousy infrastructure to support cycling, dismal ferry service and spotty bylaw enforcement, should be top of list items to attend to. Wasting taxpayers’ dollars on a performative crusade gets us nowhere. 15 K might be better spent on something that actually begins to reduces the need for fossil fuel consumption.
