Having just returned from Portugal and driving through remote areas for two weeks, I was very impressed with their highway system. It is beautifully built and in excellent condition. Now back here, I am again shocked at our Highway 101. It is dangerous for all using it. It was never designed to cope with the current traffic volume. We desperately need a new highway. It is well overdue.
