Letters: On the tragedy of the toxic drug supply

Editor:

I am so frustrated of hearing of another seven deaths today, seven deaths every day in B.C. due to the contaminated drug supply. I do not understand how our governments can stand by and allow this to continue.

Deaths from a poisoned drug supply in B.C. is the number two cause of all deaths, lower only than from all cancers. COVID-19, by comparison, is 12th. This is unacceptable.

Every person dying from a poisoned drug supply is somebody’s brother, sister, son, daughter. Each one a tragedy.

This just has to stop.
