I was pleased to read a couple of letters suggesting that a bike path be installed above the new SCRD water line running along Reed Road. What an excellent idea! It could be made simply and economically following specifications just like the Gibsons sea walk – a crushed granite pathway over top of an installed pipe. There is no need for asphalt pavement on the pathway. Perhaps a crushed granite pathway has already been smartly specified in the construction detail – it is such an obvious value-added investment to make!
