Letters: It's scary on Coast roads these days

What’s with the all the serious accidents on the Coast?

The other week alone there were two serious accidents. One on Tuesday, May 30, at Roberts Creek Road and the highway where two cars appeared to be involved. One car was flipped onto its roof. It was a clear day. One on June 1 at Largo Road and the highway, involving multiple vehicles. I know on a recent trip to Francis Point Provincial Park, I encountered an extremely unhinged driver who thought tailgating, passing on double yellow lines, and cutting cars off, was acceptable.

I sure hope you enjoyed your afternoon in Halfmoon Bay (that was where you turned off the highway).

It appears drivers are speeding, more distracted and much more aggressive. Drivers need to be more mindful and appreciate how much harm and destruction they can cause if they are driving aggressively and unsafely. Maybe some time management, anger management and safe driving skills are in order. Not sure what has changed but very scary on the road these days.
