Now that’s community news! I want to thank you for publishing the article from the Squamish Chief on April 22 written by Chelachatanat telling an origin story about the place where my family and I live, Chekw’ elhp (Gibsons Landing). The story provides social and geographical context to the areas of “Howe Sound” and the Salish Sea, our home.
The inclusion of Squamish Nation history contributes to the Truth and Reconciliation process in an important way.
