Editor:
Russell Crum brought a sight of fresh print to my eyes on the topic of the cumbersome and costly duplication of services provided by the governing bodies on the Sunshine Coast (“Avoid tax duplication,” Coast Reporter, Feb. 23).
I am curious to see the response to his reasonable and practical solution to layers of administrative barriers to address the so-called crises of housing affordability, water supply, infrastructure maintenance and human resources from all the jurisdictions listed plus other local governments that ought to be part of any amalgamated entity…our Indigenous communities.
Thank you, Mr. Crum for raising this issue.
I look forward to reading the thoughts of those involved with local governing bodies and the rest of the community.
