Letters: Do better, Coast Reporter

'I happened to glance at the wedding magazine in the paper on Friday. I couldn’t believe my eyes! Skinny white women and trim white men in traditional wedding wear. No Black people, or brown people. No people with disabilities.'

I happened to glance at the wedding magazine in the paper on Friday. I couldn’t believe my eyes!

Skinny white women and trim white men in traditional wedding wear.

No Black people, or brown people. No people with disabilities. No gay couples. Trans people? Certainly not! Wheelchairs? Nope! Fat people? Or Asian people? Definitely not. No cultural representation in ceremony. No ethnic representation at all in food or clothing. Not even an older couple!

I can’t remember seeing such a tone-deaf publication.

Do better, Coast Reporter. Do better.
