Yet again, I’m left wondering the point of a recent letter. Carolann Glover’s response (“Municipalities declined regional strategy” – Nov. 12) to my support of, and encouragement for, the current Sunshine Coast Regional District board and staff proceeding with a regional growth strategy left me scratching my head.
Municipal directors – unlike rural directors – receive direction from their councils. Short-sighted decisions of previous councils and rural directors – who comprise the majority of the board – should not dismiss what is required today, for tomorrow. Where is the implied deception here?
We appear to agree on the reasons. Can we now concur on solutions?
