Editor:
This declaration on Oct. 17 is a damning indictment of our local elected officials and a testament to the years of complacency and mismanagement concerning the water storage and supply issue.
I throw down the gauntlet to the new Sechelt Mayor and Council, the SCRD and our MLA (who seems invisible) to finally and actually get something done so that water restrictions at any level are a thing of the past.
There are three or four lakes in close proximity to Chapman and Edwards that are full. Why do they remain unused?
What about the Dusty Road well? What about a reservoir?
Whatever the solution, it’s time to stop sitting on our hands and resolve this issue, once and for all.
