Letters: Ask if we want to sell

Editor:

So there’s a chance that Gibsons will sell the land adjacent to the “Stonehurst property” to the Stonehurst developer. Theoretically or in fact, if the land is owned by the municipality, then it belongs to the citizens of Gibsons. The idea that any government can sell off our assets willy nilly is wrong. When selling off our assets, as stake holders we should be asked. How about a referendum to see if the citizens actually want you to do this? This is why I think real estate people should not be allowed to run for public office as their perspective is to sell everything from under us. It ours, you need to ask.
