Editor:
We learn the rules of the road to keep us safe. Perhaps we should also add to driver training an attitude of coutesy and thoughtfulness. When we get behind the wheel of a car, we have become as large and powerful as the car. We cannot afford to have people drive around with an attitude of anger and competitiveness. To see all other cars and pedestrians as obstacles to our Royal way, is a danger to us all.
It is such a pleasure to come across drivers who drive as they live, in a courteous manner, who stop for pedestrians and who let cars in when merging. As we see all around us, anger begets anger and kindness begets kindness.
