Letters: Appalling paper would publish that ‘ad’

Editor:

I just wanted to voice my absolute disgust at whatever you want to call that full page advertisement, report, publication, false news, (I am not really sure what the heck it was) on July 15, 2022 in the Coast Reporter, with regards to the “grandfathered non-compliant kennel.”

The full page was simply the one-sided story of a community member (or members), slamming a local business publicly. I wonder how you could possibly think that publishing that was ethical? This is not reporting. It makes inflammatory one-sided statements, accusations, and criticisms of an essential business in our community. That’s all it does.

So is that all we have to do now if we want to bash a local businesses just put some thing in the Coast Reporter, because then I surely have some things to say.

If public defamation of a local business is the only way that you can fill your pages, then perhaps you should evaluate your role in this community.

Shame on you Coast Reporter.
