Letters: A happy Halloween

Last Sunday was the busiest Hallowe’en we’ve had since coming to the Coast 22 years ago. We had at least 150 trick-or-treaters: from the smallest on their first time round, to the tallest on probably their last. All of them were so personable and polite, with their “Thank-yous” and “Happy Hallowe’ens.” Of course, there were a few chancers, who I recognised by their costumes when they came round twice. But, on the whole, a great bunch of kids and, if this is the new generation, bring them on!
