Letters: $10,000 raised for earthquake victims

Thank you Sechelt, 

The SC Lions Club recently held a Beer and Burger Fundraiser on behalf of the earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey and we are proud to announce that $10,000 was raised and donated by our community. This would not be possible without support of the many Sunshine Coast merchants and individuals who donated silent auction items to us and we would like to thank them all for their support and generosity. Special thanks go to the Lighthouse Pub and Gordon Foods for providing a venue and food and drink, and to the Coast Reporter for helping us get the word out. You all make us proud to call Sechelt home. Thank you all.
