Regarding the noise complaints against High Beam Dreams, I was the sound engineer for that show. I can unequivocally state there was no deep driving bass, as the music the Divas perform is not suited to that. In addition, being mindful of the surroundings we were in, the sound level was kept to a comfortable level so the patrons could easily talk amongst themselves while the performances were running.
However, more disturbing is the fact the Town of Gibsons can issue such a threat solely on the basis of what somebody says without anybody associated with the town actually investigating the complaints. What about all those house/backyard parties where people are hooting and hollering to really loud music and drinking themselves silly. It is kind of like being at home and the RCMP show up and give you a ticket for distracted driving because somebody said they saw you.
Vineet and Nidhi are the nicest people and are always working hard not to offend anyone.
I really believe the Town of Gibsons overreacted and they should apologize to them and commit to investigating such complaints in the future.
