As we head into warmer temperatures, Chaster Beach is a popular destination to start up a beach fire, bring some beverages and snacks to enjoy but then sadly all the debris is left behind to a wealth of land and marine wildlife, not to mention local residents and visitors.
This has become the norm on Chaster Beach. About two weeks ago, my husband was walking our dog and witnessed a beach fire still smouldering, which he promptly put out.
Please pack out what you bring in, leave no garbage behind, and be fire smart!
