I’d like to compliment our mayor, John Henderson, for his tireless efforts to bring attention to the many challenging issues impacting our lives on the Sunshine Coast. More than any other mayor over the past number of years, he has tried to propose a variety of solutions to mitigate the negative impacts of water mismanagement, homelessness, highway deficiencies, ferry unreliability etc, etc…
He is forever going above and beyond the normal expectations of time commitments from an elected official. Perhaps he is even having to spend his own money to promote public awareness of potential solutions for the shortcomings of the SCRD and provincial and federal governments?
No doubt this has taken much time away from his family and friends and likely been somewhat stressful due to the negative feedback he receives from various quarters.
We need more public support for his initiatives in order to find solutions to our local problems.
Keep up the good work, Mayor Henderson.
