One of the cited needs in the letter is for rental housing for resident physicians (and probably specialists visiting the Coast). One answer to this problem is to have new apartments over a certain size set aside 2 - 3 units for these doctors. Since rentals would still be paid, there would be no loss of income to the owners. Furnishings could be provided by the Hospital Foundation through donations of money, and possibly from places like ReStore. As an example, Telus could, in a gesture of support for the community, set aside 3 - 4 units of their proposed 59-unit apartment complex in Sechelt for this purpose.
