August 11, 2021. Here we are again. Déjà vu from the summer of 2015, Stage 4 water restrictions. What’s changed? More houses being built without a plan for an ample water source. Tax increases. It’s an embarrassment.
In 2015 our family collected shower water and kitchen grey water to keep our vegetable garden and newly planted fruit trees alive.
We believed with the water crisis of 2015 our local governments would band together to find a solution for the future.
Fast forward to today. Six years later. No water. And now collecting grey water to water our vegetable garden, fruit trees and newly planted trees.
Unacceptable! We are disheartened and disappointed.
Please stop further house development permits until you have a solid solution to the water situation. Please do not spend more money and time on studies.
Let’s hope the Church Road Well plan will come together and this will be the last year of the water crisis on the Coast.
