Let’s try to be neighbours

Letters

Editor:

Regarding last week’s responses to my letter of March 23, “Letter fails sniff test,” yes, I thoroughly enjoy the smell of growing marijuana. I find it sweet and fragrant. This is not everyone’s opinion and I can understand how it could be like having a neighbour who cooks with curry, smokes fish, has animals or just about anything you could think of that might be offensive to someone else. If anyone actually has to endure something they find “obnoxious” constantly, that is a relevant issue; if you have to, this is a problem.

I encourage people who do grow to use filters and be responsible neighbours so this discussion can end. Marijuana is proving more and more to be incredibly beneficial. One thing I genuinely hope is that we as a community can get back to being good neighbours who can talk to each other in person and try to resolve these issues like human beings.
