Is Harmony Hallfor the use of all seniors in the community, or is it for the use of a chosen few?

We, Suncoast Harmony Entertainment Society, requested the use of Harmony Hall for a New Years Eve dance. We planned to hire a live band, dance and sing Auld Lang Syne at midnight. We wouldjust have an enjoyable evening with our friends, at this lovely venue. It is much different than the bar scene, which many of us appreciate.

But sadly, we were told that a private party had the use of the hall. It was vacant by 9:30 p.m. No ringing in the New Year here. What a shame.

It seems to me that better planning and a less selfish attitudeis needed, to make more productive use of Harmony Hall. It would also allow more seniors, to participate in evening events.

Let's face it there are a lot of boomers and zoomers outthere. Let's make them feel welcome at Harmony Hall.
