Someone please tell MLA Nicholas Simons to back off on including the Sunshine Coast in the foreign buyers tax on residential property.
Most seniors on the Sunshine Coast do not have the gold-plated, taxpayer-funded government pension plan Simons will be receiving. Most of us in the real world rely on the equity in our homes to see us through retirement.
We are not the Lower Mainland. Do not lump us in with their problems. The Sunshine Coast should remain excluded from the foreign buyers tax.
Just like the NDP to give with one hand and take with the other.
