Yet another senior manager leaves the employ of the District of Sechelt for pastures new. I have worked for many companies, charities and other organizations but never encountered such a lamentable HR record as I’ve witnessed here in Sechelt.
What are the real reasons, Mr. Mayor, for this seemingly endless list of failures? After all, we the taxpayers have to pick up the tab and the remaining and long-suffering District of Sechelt staff have to pick up the pieces and await the arrival of the new director of engineering. How long will this search take, Mr. Mayor, and how long will this new manager remain? Any private company run like this would have gone bankrupt long since.
