In the past few years, I have listened to the heartbreaking stories told by Myles Gray’s parents. They told me details of their experience that will haunt me forever.
The only other people that have endured such suffering are the families affected by the atrocities of war crimes committed in faraway countries.
However, this is Canada. This is where we live. This is where people from war-torn countries come to be safe.
The Vancouver Police Department and the police union flexed their muscle, bared their teeth, built a smokescreen that caused our legal system to retreat from doing battle with them.
The police and their union played a smarter, more aggressive game than our fragile legal system could handle.
The police have put us on notice. They can kill citizens at will, and no one will hold them accountable. No one is coming to save us.
The VPD can now tour North America to spread the gospel to any precinct that will listen: “We know how to kill people and get away with it.”
Oh Canada.
