In a recent letter to the editor, one reader wrote in saying, "Just as a driver, just feeling really uncomfortable with this intersection and having a lot of close calls here to the extent that I don't use this intersection anymore. I avoid it," she said. This was in regards to the changes along Gibsons Way and Highway 101.
Personally I find the intersection easy and driver friendly.
There are turning lanes when leaving the highway, all the appropriate signage is in place. Compared to the rest of the highway, this area is one of the best.
How do "close calls" warrant a stop light? If there is money to be spent on the highway, let's spend it in real problem spots were lives have been lost on more than one occasion.
