I would like to voice my opinion in favour of the two lane highway in Upper Gibsons.
I walk that highway almost daily with my children. It is safer and the traffic is slower than it was when there were four lanes. I have been asked to sign numerous petitions to bring it back to four lanes and have been given the arguments by several peop=le. The arguments do not make sense to me.
The problem spots are not created by the number of lanes, but by visibility problems and, unfortunately, by poor drivers. Neither the visibility issues nor the driving issues are the result of the lane change. Why give people another lane so they can speed past the traffic that is driving the speed limit?
