Canada’s health care system is a group of socialized health insurance plans that provides coverage to all Canadian citizens. It is publicly funded and administered on a provincial or territorial basis, within guidelines set by the federal government.
In the U.S., their health care system is a business.
The present Vancouver Coastal Health plan is moving long-term care from what it is now to being controlled and run as a business. We even get to pay for the change. We need to upgrade what we now have, instead of destroying it.
We as Canadians must protect and improve what now is, instead of letting businesses take us over. Don’t allow this to happen!
