Thanks to Ian Jacques for his piece on our own Gary Pennington, oldest member (by far) of the North Shore Hounds Lower Mainland Association Baseball Association. Like the battery bunny, Mr. Pennington just keeps ticking — and in so many areas.
He was my co-teacher for a well-attended baseball history course at Capilano ElderU last spring and is the prime mover for a website honouring Vancouver’s West End — truly one of the Coast’s most intriguing and productive people!
