Hospital parking crunch

I’ve been going to Sechelt Hospital for years, and what has gotten very difficult is parking. I go and there is no parking. Not only is there no parking; in the one spot there are up to five cars illegally parked! What is going on?

I pass by the sign that states, “Overflow Hospital Parking.” What I believe it should say is, “Employee Hospital parking.” That way those of us who go to the hospital to use what it is there for will be able to find parking spots. We will not have to squeeze by those illegally parked cars.

I have phoned a tow truck company and asked them to come and tow the illegally parked cars; they said it would be too difficult to tow them, so they won’t come and tow them. If something isn’t done, it’s a message to everyone that you can simply park wherever you want. Park on the lawn. No tow truck will come and tow you, it’s just too difficult for them. Something has to be done!
