Having just returned from the 2013 Sea Cavalcade parade and buoyed with enthusiasm, I am writing to say how much I enjoyed watching this event, as well as the one that preceded it: the Mile Run.
From the first runner crossing the finish line through to the last entrant in the parade, the emergency response team, the many facets of what it takes to make up a community were showcased.
The well-decorated floats, the costumes, the music, the enthusiasm of the participants created a sense of fun and, above all, created the feeling of a unified town spirit.
Reading through the line-up of scheduled events, one realizes the number of people hours needed to make Sea Cavalcade happen.
Thank you, everyone.
